Orange County Government has received $243.2 million in Federal CARES Act funding. The County’s Small Business Grant Program will distribute $72.9 million of that to approximately 6,500 small businesses ($10,000 per business) to help them overcome the temporary loss of revenue due to COVID-19. Additional funds are available for indiduals too.
On Tuesday, May 26, the Volusia County Council approved a $2.5 million grant program to assist non-profit agencies in the county that have sustained financial impacts from the coronavirus crisis. Also Tuesday, the County Council agreed to allocate $15 million to distribute to Volusia’s 16 cities to assist them with their COVID-19 expenses.
